About Me

I am a dual licensed therapist who is passionate about meeting clients where they are at and providing a nonjudgmental environment for each unique individual can be heard. I strive to build a supportive, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic alliance to empower clients to uncover their own authenticity, work toward goals, and instill hope.

Making the choice to start therapy is not an easy task and requires a lot of courage to ask for help. We all are trying to do the best we can to take care of ourselves but sometimes we can fall short. This is understandable, especially if we do not have the right resources or our access to coping skills are limited. The good news is therapy provides the space to reflect on old patterns, and behaviors, and begin to ask ourselves, “is this working for me anymore”? If the answer is no, let’s take a look at it!

One of my top values as a clinician is to continue to learn, grow, and provide the most effective evidence-based treatment for the clients I serve. I have specialty training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which is a structured trauma modality that focuses on treating trauma symptoms through building insight, engaging in cognitive restructuring, and shifting past trauma narratives to a more compassionate understanding of your experience. I am also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (EXRP) which is primarily used to treat symptoms of OCD, panic, and phobias. And lastly, I am trained from a Health At Every Size perspective, Intuitive Eating approach and have completed Perinatal Mood Disorders - Components of Care Training through Postpartum Support International (PSI).

My therapeutic approaches are primarily client centric focusing on what fits you best. Some approaches I utilize are psychodynamic, relational, DBT, CBT, ACT, IFS, strengths based, solution focused, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy.

I have experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds who struggle with various symptoms including but not limited to anxiety, panic, OCD, neurodivergence, depression, disordered eating, trauma, low self-esteem, grief/ambiguous loss, substance use, adjustment to life changes, interpersonal challenges, and work-related stressors.

I provide therapy to adults, and I have special interests in working with folks within the healthcare field, folks navigating transitions, new parents, college students, young adults working to build independence, the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals wanting to gain useful coping skills. I also enjoy supporting clients experiencing concerns related to anxiety, perfectionism, body image concerns, perinatal mental health, grief and loss, and substance use.

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I grew up playing hockey and still love competitive sports. In my free time I am most often chasing after my energetic toddlers, catching up on the latest tv show with my husband, snuggling my golden retriever, spending time at the lake with family, crafting, baking, or spending time with friends. I look forward to learning more about you!
